I just stumbled upon some VeggieTales Storyboards and these are freakin hilarious! It’s a shame that the technology wasn’t quite advanced enough to make the characters this expressive in the final animation.
These were drawn by Tom Owens who would later go on to be a storyboard artist on several Dreamworks productions (who coincidentally would later own the rights to VeggieTales), most notably How to Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda (and before that had worked on several other cartoon shows and movies).

I believe this was also before a lot of their animation was outsourced to other studios so it shows the improvement of Big Idea’s work. Their most expressive episode(s). XD
